Creative Heights Artist Residency: Jody Miller

Acclaimed photographer Jody Miller will show us how to take our mat printed photographs and make them into a beautiful art piece using the art form of encaustics.
Learn how to make your photographs sing and become one-of-a-kind dreamy “paintings” using encaustic wax, adding texture and applying colors. You’ll learn the basics of photoencaustic processes, painting and fusing hot wax to your photographs. We’ll apply textures and add oil colors to take them to another level. There is so much that can be done with encaustic wax and this will cover just a couple of techniques to get you started and inspired to go further with this fascinating medium.
Each participant must bring an 8X8 MATTE finished print to work with.
