SUMMARY:Roundhouse Foundation Artist Residency: Cassandra Lee
DESCRIPTION:Cassandra Lee is committed to exploring ways to use various kinds of fibers\, including but not limited to upholstery\, canvas\, burlap\, felted wool and silk. In this workshop she will include her explorations and techniques using raw-edge and rolled-edge appliqué. She will share ideas about and introduce methods to create texture using hand embroidery and other found objects. By using various kinds of fabrics\, both new and used\, she will inspire curious minds to work outside the lines and allow creativity to flow. \nUpon completion of this workshop\, participants will take home a sample project to transform into a small pillow\, wall hanging or other creative use.  \nBring beads\, scraps of fabric\, jewelry\, any small objects! \nClass size is limited to six participants. Lunch is included. Art presentation for the community is from 4-5pm. \nGraciously funded by the Roundhouse Foundation
