First Visual Art Show
We hosted our first visual art show, with an artist opening reception on September 23. Forty-one artists all from the John Day River Territory participated in the show, with twenty-one from our small town of Spray. A member of our board, Lincoln Miller from PushDot Studio, designed the show display and rearranged the room so guests could flow easily around the many forms of art.
The Oregon Frontier Chamber of Commerce funded the exquisite food from Elephant’s Deli and Matt Allen played soft music in the background. Deep gratitude goes to the Roundhouse Foundation for the grant that enabled us to purchase the mobile black display panels and to the Wheeler County Cultural Heritage and Oregon Cultural Trust for the grant that purchased half of our lights.
